Surgery in two days

well

i saw the surgeon on friday, and he wants to open my spine backup and get the so called cyst out,

the problem is they are unsure wether it is a cyst, they will know when i get cut open, they are going to remove T7 - T7 out and not put them back in, so if i get another cyst it has room to grow out on my cord.

i get an MRI done tomorrow for my neck, as last MRI didnt do that,

the surgeon wants to do decompression,, but wont know until MRI, so both will be done at the same time,

whooo im so shock i got the call today to be in hospital tomorrow, and then surgery,

i have been nervous and anxious and excited to finally have somthing done

recovery will be slow and painful, i will be in hospital for about 12days, im not able to update my condition, maybe i could through nigel.

i will chat to you all when i can.

I am so happy that you are finally getting something done! I just know that everything will be fine and you will be so much better once you recovery from the surgery! You are right it will be slow and somewhat painful, but you are one of the strongest women I know! You will do great! I understand that you will not be able to update us very often if at all, but please know that I am praying for you and your family! I will be thinking of you too all day on Wednesday:) Take care and may the good Lord watch over you with his love and healing!

thanks guy. Im still hospital. I got decomressed. When they did mri it showed no fluid so all nueros here all agreed that that brain need 2 b done. My spine is await and c, it mite so down during recovery. I sleep so much. My neck is stiff. And getting horrible pain up my r side of face and head.its hard 2 type on my cell. But im doing gd. Mite b hme in days. Opps nurse came in and told me off 4 using cell. Must go

im at home, recovering well, vison not good, the ground always feels like it moving all the time,

im better than i though i would be so far go good, i go for CT in two weeks, to see how things are, they ar now calling my cyst a lesion now, they all me a hard basket,

i hvent been home for aweek but my coffee group is upside down, it made me upsett on how acouple of people have turned out,

im dizzy now and need to rest, i think i just stressed myself out,

abby i hope you and family are ok, im sorry i was unable to send support for but arround abit now.

today is abetter day,

its amazing how fast im recovering, im up and about alot, but im bored, i walk around and then smoke heaps, i dont know why im smoking so much, but atleast it gives me something to do,

i helped cook dinna lastnight and yummy, i havnt been able to eat proberly, maybe atiny meal aday, i think i had a reaction to one of the drugs, my bowels are driving me nuts,

i have also devolped a rash, which im getting the nurse to check tomorrow, when i have my stitches out,

also i must say my surgeon only shaved a tiny bit of my hair, you wouldnt even know that i had surgery,

my taste buds have changed, i dont like cupper teas anymore, lol even the smell is different, i really want to wash my hair, but dont know if able to yet, its only 6days post op.

anyway just rambling on,

is it normal to have C1 disk taken out and some over bones shaven? my surgeon did those.

I smoke too...so I know what you mean about the smoking!!!!

I had C1 shaved too..to make 'more room' the NS explained to me.

im not amazing lori, i did too much today, with having to go to the docs, i got stitches out, and then spoke to the nurse about rash and bowel issues, she wanted me to talk to the doc, so had to wait for drop in clinic, makes for along day,

the rash is a strep thing, that i picked up from hospital, so on antibiotics,

i started to tell him that i have been bleeding, i had terrible stomach pain, and needed to empty my bowel, so went to the toilet, i was unable to go, but i did manage to release a tiny bit of water, which when i wiped, toilet paper was covered in blood, so i looked in the toilet and omg there was alot of blood and blood clots, i do have hemroids, so maybe they are trouble again.

now let me explain, i have been having real bad lose motions for afew weeks, before surgery, and sometimes abit of blood, i spoke to the nurse at the hospital and she said that she will put a note on the file for the doc, so it was left,

the blood today was pretty bad, anyway started telling the doc today and he fobbed me off as it was a drop in clinic and i had taken enough time already, i was told to make an appointment, but the thing is i paid for that appointment, and now have to make another and pay for that,

im having pain again in my tummy so i hoping i dont have blood again,

OMGosh Jolene, I'm sorry youm are having all these problems. I hope you get some relief soon. Pain medication can cause constipation and then to already have the problems have I sure complicates that. You can buy stool softeners over the counter here and I'm sure you can there. When I have surgery and take pain pills, I usully get one called Colace.....that seems to help me. It's really a shame the doctor didn't take the time to listen and now you'll have to pay again....that stinks.. Can you get a different doctor?

i have made another appointment with my doc, he is great,

im having the other problem, i cant seem to stop going, such apain,

i was doing this before surgery and doing it now after, its the stomach pain that is horrible,

today im very tired, and pressure in my head, my breathing is also hard, last night i stood up and throught i was going to faint, then got pressure in my head,

is there any time frame where this will get better?

Gm I hope that things get better for you soon. All the pressure and headaches subsided after those sutures were removed. After they were gone I could lay down and sleep and not have to sit up. Know that im praying for better days for you.

Awww you poor thing. I'm so sorry about all your distress Joelene. I don't like the bleeding thing when you move your bowels. I too have that alot because of hemmoroids. I see you have that problem too. It's just scary to see that and have that problem too when you're recuping from your other surgery. Let me get this straight, you were at your drs. appt telling him about your bleeding from your rectum and all the pain and he ignored you and told you to make another appt? What? I would seek another dr Joelene. That dr. doesn't seem to compassionate. Especially after everything you've been through.

I hope your body starts to calm down and starts healing the way it should be. Don't do too much Joelene. The best medicine for you now is rest and being peaceful. Our bodies respond great to it and the healing process goes faster when we allow ourselves to be pampered and be stress free. I hope that happens very soon for you.
