Headaches in the morning

I have headaches every morning and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions about how to not have as severe headaches in the morning or if they knew a different way to get rid of it besides taking ibuprofen.

hi sam

i also suffer from headaches, i read that sometimes sleeping with your head proped up helps,
have you ever had your eyes tested, i found that my eyes had gotton worse, and when i have haeadaches i wear my classes, because my eyes go out of focus, it takes the edge off the headache
i must admit that ibuprofen works well,
also peppermint tea also helps.

hope it helps

I have tried sleeping with my head propped up multiple times and I’m still trying to find the right position to where it helps. You are definantly right though i have felt that nights I do sleep propped up, the pain is less severe. As for the eyes, I did get them checked. Every year at school when they check them, they have said that I need to go get glasses but when we did go to the eye doctor, she said I don’t need glasses… until 2008. Then she thought I might need glasses. So I wore them but I didn’t think they were helping my vision. Then after my surgery, when I got my eyes tested again, they said I didn’t need glasses, the surgery corrected my eye sight too!! But I have never tried wearing them again when I do have a headache, that sounds like a really good idea to take some of the edge off. I have never heard of drinking peppermint tea to help, I have heard of peppermints helping so I’m sure peppermint tea help too!! I’ve also found that a little bit of caffeine helps also. Thanks so much for those ideas!!

hi sam,

tea is digested faster than peppermints, also if you drink it regular u wont get relux that often, and it also helps in depression,
you can have it cold or hot, dont add milk, or sugar, if you need to add honey, (honey has good properties) itstakes awhile to get use to the taste.

its natural worth a try anyway

I’ve tried that before and do it often, it really does help, you’re right!! And I could never not take my medicine in the morning! My ibuprofen is like other people’s coffee in the morning!! Thanks!!

Thanks!! I never realized that tea is digested faster than mints. I’ve been eating mints in the morning along with medicine. I haven’t tried the tea yet in the morning but I’ll be sure to try it!! thanks!!
