Starshine- I felt the same way. I’m 38 and I felt guilty and had a hard time working up the courage to ask my doctor, but I’m glad I did. Like someone told me, if it will help keep you from hurting yourself more you should not feel guilty. Age doesn’t matter and you have a valid reason for needing it. I felt silly asking my doctor, but he didn’t even question it. He told me I don’t need to risk another fall especially this winter when the parking lots become an icy mess.
