I do not normally have any vision issues with my chiari and I know some of you do so I was hoping you guys could give me some advice. All of the sudden I had a blind spot right in the middle of my vision and the bottom and side peripheral vision was very wavy. It only happened in 1 eye and lasted for about 90 minutes. Is this “normal” for chiari…or could it have been caused by something else.

That sounds like a migraine aura to me.
They can be scary! Especially if you don't know what is happening to you.
Always check with your Dr. but...it sounds like migraine.
I get the exact same thing: a dark spot in the middle of my vision and a bright wavy undulating thing in my peripheral vision.
I sometimes get a headache after I see the aura but most of the time I don't.
But, it IS caused by migraine whether the headache actually comes on or not.
I called my pcp and he thought maybe a migraine too. He wants me to come in om friday to check things out since I’m am scheduled for decompression on the 28th. I guess that’s a good idea. Better to be safe than sorry! I guess the best part is I never actually got a migraine and this is the only time that’s ever happened (knock on wood!)
