I was diagnosed in 2015, after 20+ yrs of migraines with a 9mm chiari, I finally found a neurologist about a yr ago that treats it, even tho he is almost two hours away from where I live. Lately I have a high pitched screeching in my ears, not only is it annoying but painfull as well anyone have any advice to help with that? I have learned to live (somewhat) with the headaches, balance issues, memory issues and the occasional speech issues. (I also have fibromyalgia and just had breast cancer surgery) I will appreciate any advice.
I used a book called “The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook” that resolved my own tinnitus. I cannot even remember which triggers I worked on for that anymore. I am not sure if the reason you have tinnitus is the same. It is available on Amazon for a reasonable price and also does wonders for the trigger aspects of headaches.
For balance, you might want to try the exercises I have written up on this site under “Welcome” and “Newbie”. If primitive reflexes are the source behind your balance issues, they work great. They are free and you just have to put in some time. Any questions just give me a shout.
Hi Kathy, I have just joined this website. I have 4 grown kids, 5 grandkids. Hope you are doing well with your cancer treatment. I had been diagnosed with tinnitus many years ago. Mine is more of a whoshing sound in my ears and pain. So loud at night when it’s quiet I have to sleep with the TV on or the sound bothers me. I was dizzy a lot and the ENT said it was probably crystals in my inner ear ( no ear infection). I know now it is the Chiari.
