Syringomyelia better after decompression surgery?

I was wondering if anyone has had any luck their syrinx shrinking on it's own after decompression surgery?

My syrinx has shrunk a lot since decompression in 2003. My NS was impressed by how much, as was I. I didn't think it would/could go away that much. I have the MRI's on CD but I haven't had a chance to go through them and upload them. When I do I'll post. You can really see the difference from my most current 2010 and 2003.

Hi....

My niece had her very large syrinx shrink on it's own after decompression...they took another MRI 2 mths post op and it was ALL GONE!!!!!!
