I had my post op check today and everything looked good. The allergic reaction I was having to the surgical glue has passed and my incision looks great! He said risk of a leak or other complications are very low at this point. A lot of pain has already diminished and my weird numb, tingly spots on my scalp and face are gone. I’m having residual numbness in my hands and feet but he said that is typically the last to improve.
Normally I would have been released to work Monday since I’m healing so well but I have chronic mono which flared up from the stress of surgery so I am getting two more weeks to rest! I plan to make the most of them!
I really cannot recommend Mayfield Chiari Center enough. Dr. Ringer is pretty much a miracle worker!
