Ever since my surgery it’s been difficult for me to get comfortable pillows. I wake up with a stiff neck all the time and my nights are not restful. Last year I bought a 20 dollar memory foam pillow that up until after Christmas seemed to work… I’ve been diagnosed with pseudotumor cerebri because of my surgery… Idk if that’s why I can’t get comfortable now or what. Has anyone else experience doing this? What pillows would you recommend?
I can totally identify with you! I have so many pillows that my bf jokes we need a separate room to house all my pillows.
I have a water pillow and a big fluffy pillow and those seem to be best for me right now.
I use two pillows though.
I use the memory foam on the bottom and either the water or the big fluffy regular pillow on the top.
But, I still get uncomfortable too.
So far, that works best for me.:-)
I wake up a lot and don't get rest either.
Strangely the only pillow I can use comfortably is the Sobakowa cloud pillow. It's one of those as seen on TV things. I got mine at CVS for $20.
Thanks everyone for the replies! I will definitely look into the pillows mentioned!
I love my backrest pillow. I can use it when the back of my head isn't too sore. I can lay on my side and still watch TV. At first, I tried my regular pillows that I had before surgery....NOT a good idea. When I first got home from the hospital, EVERYTHING was uncomfortable! After a few weeks, I could finally sleep more than 2 hours a day, or night. Now, I can sleep all the time. I don't understand why, months later, I am so tired, but it is what it is. So long as I have the right pillows, sleeping is good! Good luck with finding the right combo of fluffiness and support.
