As some of you know I have basilar impression, Cranial instability and low lying tonsils. I am heading for surgery in the next few months. On any given day my head pain is always there.
My children have brought home a nasty stomach bug and I am just at the start of it. My head is feels like it is going to explode, its the worst pain I have ever felt. I am taking narcotics and it is barely touching it. Along with the pain, I am so dizzy and feel like I can not move.
Any ideas of what can help, I know after watching my four children have the same virus, its only going to get worse. Im desperate.
If you have the typical N/V/D with it, make sure you stay hydrated and eat some light food. Dehydration isn't good for BI or Chiari head pressure. Not much other help with pain, and it may not completely hit it, but I take 2 ES Tylenol every 4 hrs. without skipping just to keep an edge off.
thanks everone, yesterday was round. The vomiting was not as bad as my husband had it, but boy the head pain was the worst I have ever felt. I was able to keep taking small sips to try and stay hydrated. I hope you all are able to avoid the nasty stomach bug going around. Hug to you all and I am going to lay down and rest my poor body.
