Sometimes, when I move my head side to side, or roll my head around, i hear what seems like bone on bone, like eggshells being crushed. It's kind of hard to explain. Does anyone else hear this sound?
Mine does this a lot. It's worse since having surgery. It's not painful, just loud. Not sure what causes it though so I'm not of much help!
yes, mine is also at the top of my spine/middle part of lower skull.....sounds like egg shells being crushed..... sometimes my daughter says she can faintly hear it.
thanks for the link......... at least now i know it could be something real.......and not just my imagination.
You may also have bone spurs in your cervical spine...Not an unusual occurrence as we age.
At least that's what my pain specialist told me when I asked him about the crackling when I turn my head side to side.
Though now that my neck is so painful I very rarely turn my head anymore! Problem solved! ;-)
I am so glad that you posted this. I was laying in bed and thinking about that last night. I can hear it and it sounds like cracking. I haven't had surgery yet. It's funny because before my diagnosis I just thought that happened to everyone.
