Today is my big 6 months mile marker....its been long hard and rough but I am definately moving in the right direction. I think back now and realize I was one sick girl before I had my surgery. I dont think we realize how far down this disease will take you until you get treated...I am still in therapy for my legs{optic nerve was nicked during surgery...lost all balance and coordination on my right side}. Coming home in a wheel chair was not expected....BUT I survived. I do not have all of my stamina and strength back yet but Dr. B told me it could take up to a year. Most of my pre surgery symptoms are GONE:))) I know I still have a long road before me but thats ok because I am here and I am actually LIVING and not just existing....I have to say it feels good.....for those of you contemplating the surgery....for me and my family it was by far the right choice...take care all...mj
