UPDATE! I have been very busy as I am back to college with my last semester! it has been a crazy last year but thankful I am continuing to heal and make it through it all! I wanted to update on my recovery as I am now 2 months out-it doesn't seem like long but time is going fast and I still am going! I have had a week or so with no headaches :) this was amazing and weird (since having them since I was little everyday) now I can tell when I have a lot to do, very busy or stressed my head starts to hurt. Im guessing this is telling me to rest but it is very hard to do with so much going on and my young ambition to do it all! I know I can't and that is hard to slow down but I know it will be worth it someday. I have been applying vitamin E to my scar it is looking better, my hair that was shaved is already 2 inches long and each day getting better.
Even better I had a new MRI to check everything out about 2 weeks ago and my NS can't believe how well I am doing and healing! everything worked :) which is a major relief I now have fluid movement and room! Plus, somehow my syrinx has already been getting smaller!! it is thinner in only 2 months out as before it was pretty large (NS said largest he has seen and he has done dozens of surgeries) so this makes me overjoyed!
Now- even though all this is going great there are still a few things I don't like that are happening. I still have this questionable lumpy bumps all over the sides of my neck- was told possibly inflammation from my surgery or infection-but NS wasn't sure what they really were and they haven't changed :/ so hopefully it's nothing and they go away. Then in my MRI there was build up of fluid in the back of my head usually pretty normal but too much isn't good and causing weird pressure headaches so if this continues I have to get the fluid removed. I am pretty tired and fatigued but it is hard for me to rest especially with school but I try to the best I can! Sorry for the novel just thought it was awhile since I last updated and wanted to let others know how successful surgery has been and wonderful! :)
If anyone has any questions about anything I would love to help out in any way I can! Thank you for all the support and I am here too as a chiari conquerer!
