Hello!
So it's one month post op! Super surprised how fast this has gone..
Got a surprise about a week ago, I started to develop super bad headaches. Much different, than the ones before surgery.
They felt like when you got up quickly and everything rushes to your head, but constantly that way. Felt like someone was hitting my head, constantly. Also when I walk my upper spine hurts VERY bad like someone is stabbing it. Started to throw up constantly too! I rushed to the ER to get cat scans, and they looked fine. Then about 2 days went back and they did another cat scan and it looked fine. Doctor said this can happen with any brain surgery. Its a 1 out of 10 someone gets this. The problem is that it doesn't go away! They said it can go on for weeks, super worried it might not go away. Nothing really helped it. I was in bed for almost a week! Even light hurt.
But other wise, I can balance now! Walk in a straight line. I almost got put back into the hospital for the pain and put on a pain pump again but they gave me some new pills. They seem to helping the headache a little, but still can feel it.
I feel like after this passes, things are going to get great! I have energy back and feel like a new person.
Excited to be healthy for my birthday, and going to have a great summer like a 16 year old should have (will be 17).
A week is a lot better than 9 months! Stay strong everyone! We all fighting together<3
