Can I use regular shampoo for after surgery or should I get like baby shampoo? I've been reading post-op stories and see that some people wash their hair the very next day!
They gave me baby shampoo at the hospital to use and told me to use it for the first week.....
I asked our daughters neurosurgeon the same question, he said any shampoo ok just dont scrub they scar area! xoxooxo
I am 7 weeks post op and I was able to wash my hair 3 days after surgery. I was able to use any shampoo however I found that baby shampoo was the best as the first time I tried to used regular shampoo it stung a little.

I was able to wash my hair the 2 days after, with baby shampoo. Very gently of course. I continued to use it for the first week or so, just for the sake of not wanting any other issues. I had to bath though and it wasn't easy washing my hair without bending my neck back, so I ended up washing it by tilting down towards the bathtub. Good Luck!
