I have the 11:00 am slot, but of course I have to be at the hospital at 5:45 am for an MRI. I think the wait between the MRI and surgery will be the most difficult - both for the nerves and for the fact that everything gets worse when I am dehydrated (I'm not allowed to eat/drink after midnight, per usual).
I really appreciate all of the support you guys have given me - you are wonderful!
PS I find it to be an amazing coincidence of fate that Donna from Indianapolis had her surgery last Friday with Dr. Tew at University Hospital and I (Donna fron Cincinnati) I will have my surgery this Friday with Dr. Tew at University Hospital. Apparently Donna's think alike.
My mom will be with me for the operation and she is a member of the site, so she can post an update on how I'm doing. Thanks very much for offering though, Beeba!
I scared, but I'm really ready to get it over with and start feeling better. : )
Well, it looks like we were given the arrival time for the first surgery of the day but I’m the second surgery. So we got up at 3:30 am to check in at 5:45 am when it turns out that we didn’t need to be here until 9:00 am. What a waste of time. Now I’m stuck in the waiting room on a chair and I am not happy. I feel horrible and really would like to lay down.
