Well I had decompression on 20July. The first week they only had me on valium and oxy and I couldnt even put my head on a pillow. If felt like putting head on hot pokers and pointy bricks if you have to describe it. This past friday the NS put me on extended release morphine every 12 hrs along with the oxy and valium which has made it easier to sleep and even control pain. He also took out stitches. Their going to call back this week about doing MRI to check flow and the syrinxs. My next semester starts 20August so hoping that everything feels alot better.. I wish they would have did a strip shave but he shaved everything up to about middle of ear.....thank god i have longer hair to hide it.

So glad you're on the other side of things and on the mend. It sounds like you have a very responsive doctor. That always helps. I hope you continue to get better and get back to a "normal" life. You give all of us that are looking at surgery a boost of confidence. Keep us posted. I am praying for you.
