what do you do when your always in pain and the doctor tells you there is nothing else that they can do. i had my surgery in jan. of 2011 and they havent even done a mri to see if it was better, the same, or worse.
I would definitely make an appointment with a Neurologist & a Pain Management Dr. Unfortunetly, your pain may never go away, but can be managed. Even if you have to see your PCP, they can help with your pain and make appointments for you to get a MRI and see the specialists. It happens to a lot of us that after surgery the NS doesn't have anything else to do with your care. Please let us know how you are doing.

Well I'd sure be going to a different doctor. You've never had a post-op MRI?!
I am recently seeing a neuro/othomology who is suppose to be helping to find med. for my headache but he is notdoing a good job of keeping me out of pain.My next plain is to go to a pain management clinic to see what type of help i can get. the only thing about that is that i dont like being druged up.

I agree with finding a new doctor and having another MRI, but in the mean time have you tried Nucynta? I take 100mg every 6hrs. It works on 2 different pain pathways instead of just 1 like Percocet or Loratab and I have been given so much relief from it. I sure hope you are able to find the relief you need.
