I have been doing my very best to get by in my day to day life with my family and work. I was at the DMV this afternoon doing some title work, for my job and all of a sudden my legs felt like they were just going to colapse. I am now exhausted, weak, sick to my stomach, shaking like a leaf and feel like I could pass out at any given moment. I keep having these spells, I did call my neuro yesterday about them and was told to just wait it out until my follow up next Tuesday. I get even more clumsy than normal and just feel completely out of it, almost like I'm drunk. How do you just wait it out? Has anyone else had these sudden attacks? What can I do to help decrease them? Right now I am on Klonopin which seems to help my mood and the tremors a little but when it gets like this nothing helps.
Hi Christina. So sorry you aren't feeling well. I too have had this feeling. I had my surgery almost 8 months ago and that still happens to me. Wait it out??? These friggin drs are pips aren't they? I'd like to see them, "wait it out!!!!". It's a scary feeling. Have you ever blacked out? I too have told people that I feel drunk. It's a good way to describe it. Can you stay home til your appt? Get alot of rest and try not to be alone right now. Move slower and be conscience not to bend over with your head so not to get a head rush. Have your questions ready, write them down. Now listen, if you're feeling really bad, please go to the ER. Don't wait. I wish I could help. Keep us posted on your appt. next week. You're not alone.
Gentle hugs,
Christine
EXACTLY what I am experiencing.....unless you have someone that specailizes in what you are going through going to a regular physcian seems to be a waste of time.
