I have tightness in my head, this comes and goes. Not really painful, well maybe a touch, but more
tight! Very irritating. I'm very aware of my head. I hate this feeling. Im really confused by all of this, as my other dx relates to some of my symptoms to. But I never ever believed in that dx for some reason. My heart just said no its not vestibular migraine.
anyone out there deal with tightness. I wish I could explain it better, its tight and somewhat a heavy feel. in back and temples mostly, but just tight kinda everywhere. Oh gosh, see I cannot explain it.
It sounds like you are having Chiari pressure headaches. Many different reasons set them off. Have you tried any headache medication? I have them regularly. Maybe you should ask your Dr. about them.
You can search on the Discussion page at the top left for headaches or pressure headaches and read a lot of posts and links about them.
Im on a low dose of nortriptyline. I have tried topamax in the past, but not for this particular headache. Topamax was awful. Im supposed to be trying effexor or verapamil next.
I take mag citrate 400mg a day. B12 and B complex as well. I have an RX for effexor but ughh.. a little nervous to try it. Im waiting to see what NS says next Thursday. Im seeing Dr. Seiff in Vegas.
Yes I totally get what you're saying. I also have that tightness and pressure feeling constantly and my head feels like it's a million pounds...so heavy to hold. I'm like you - no matter what I'm doing the only thing I can think of is my head b/c of the severe pressure and tightness..... it's so weird to be soooo aware of something all the time but I totally get what you're saying. I assume it's pressure that we feel. The only time I don't really feel it is when I lay in my recliner.... which is where I have to sleep so I'm not quite laying all the way or quite sitting up. Being upright definitely makes it worse
Yup. I totally get it. It’s uncomfortable more than anything. No specific pain. Just uncomfortable. I usually get them right before I pass out or drop.
I’ve never taken any medicine for them so I don’t have any advice. Sorry.
Good luck
