New here... Not doing ok. This is going to be long

I am almost 6 weeks postpartum. About 4 weeks ago I began leaking clear fluid from my left nostril when bent over. After that persisted for a couple of weeks I looked up my symptoms and found articles on spontaneous csf leak/ rhinorhea. That took me to the er where my concerns were of course dismissed. I followed up with my doctor who consulted with neuro and a head CT was ordered. The head CT showed empty sella syndrome and the chiari malformation. I was admitted and had a head MRI, spine MRI, and MRI with contrast. The MRI revealed that I do have a csf leak into my left sphenoid sinus. I am not dealing ok. I am terrified. I have a follow up with my neurosurgeon on April 8th. Does anyone have any experience with empty sella/ spontaneous csf leaks? I have heard of acquired chiari and I am wondering if in have that or the other type. I am glad I have found this place and I am hoping that it can help me regain some sanity. I have a 5 yr old and a 5 week old that need me… I am able to function with the help of Ativan.
