New, and understandably confused about site

Hi. Milwaukee Mom, here. I am grateful to become a member. I am confused about the site. I have heard good things about Chiari specialists in places like Indiana, Buffalo, NY, and Pasadena, California. How do I learn about the doctors, or resources there? Are there any members online that live there?

Also, there seem to be 'sub groups', but I may be mistaken. If there are, where is there a list of them, with brief bios of the groups, so I know which ones I identify with.

Thank you. And God bless all those with Chiari. Smiles, MW

Are you from Milwaukee WI? If so, I will give you the name of NS I am seeing.

I initially used the http://www.chiariinstitute.com/ to find NS practicing and who continually do the surgeries on a regular basis.

I am also working our the 'sub-groups' :) We can do this together!

Hugs, Tina

Hey welcome to the site!:) If you have any problems getting around on here let me or one of the other moderators know! We're all happy to help.
As far as the subgroups...they are just little groups inside of our big one. Anyone can start/create one or join another. They are created for more specific purposes. For example, I created one for those who are in Pennsylvania.

Have you seen any NS yet?

I thank you for the message, Tina. Milwaukee originally. Now in Southern California/ LA area. So, if I do have surgery it will be in one of these two places. Incidentally, I have had surgery on my cervical spine, for swelling disks. NO, relief, though, for Chiari like symptoms. How goes it with you? Smiles, enjoy the Art Museum there!

Things are going here. They moved up my surgery date, so I am freaking a little! I would come back to Wisconsin. I am so sorry about the surgery not helping you :frowning: That really sucks. Discovery World is pretty fantastic too
