Hi does anyone have any advise on what pillows to use?i have memory foam and normal and every night when i move my neck snaps right down to my shoulder blades.also the back of my head clicks when i walk.its frustrating as my doctor at the walton centre who speacialises in this condition said my neck etc has nothing to do with my condition.infact he said he didnt know alot.
For me personally, I have to use two pillows. Sam’s club had these memory foam pillows in a bag, 2 for $20. I took a memory pillow and my husband has the other. My other pillow is a cheaper basic, cotton pillow. About 3-4 days of the week I wake with morning headaches. Without using 2 pillows, it would surely be a 7/7 ratio with a headache every morning. For whatever reason, flat sleep simply is not possible. For the record, I am 3 years post Decompression. Hope this helps.
Also, the doctor telling you your neck has nothing to do with your condition is doing you a disservice. The Chiari is the obvious brain herniation you are probably well read on already. To infer any issues with your neck has nothing to do with Chiari seems hardly ethical. This is when I believe doctor’s put their psychology minors into use and play us like a fiddle to see how forthright we are being with them. You might want to seek out another doctor. Sorry for my bluntness.
Hi i agree fully the down side is he is the speacialist for that department.i will question the surgeon about it as i know he was wrong.
