Is my brain supposed to be this close to my skull? anybody's opinion please

i understand we are not medics but would really appreciate anyone's opinion, I can see that the herniation isn't massive ( beyond the foraman magnum) but the gap between my brain and the back of my skull seems very small compared to others iv looked at that are floating happily in their CSF, that area is exactly where the pain is and worse lying down so could it be obstructing my CSF?

Thanks Mandy, yes yours is similar isn't it? I'll try to find the other view on the disc tomorrow, have you had any treatment? Here I have been shocked by the complete dismissal of the scan and I have been told emphatically it has nothing to do with any of my symproms. I didn't want a fight just want to feel better or at least understand what's wrong, cos what's wrong is getting worse .Having read so many struggles on here I'm at a loss. Just because its congenital doesn't mean its unchanged over a lifetime, I believe if I'd known as a young person about it I'd have made some different choices, especially I cringe to remember the years in my teens and 20s that I was buleamic, horrifying now I know, Surely we deserve some conversation about what may have made it become symptomatic . just stonewalled though. Let me know more about yourself
