I'm going home!

Well, I've been in hospital for over 5 weeks and I'm definitely on the mend, I was transferred to this hospital because i had several vomiting and headache admissions over the last 2 moths prior to this admission. I saw the top guy here, they said the only real way to see if i needed the op was to do it. I waited 3 weeks for an MRI scan (how terrifyingly noisy!), they showed my my head and didn't really see anything but the eyes look funny. So they took me down, got in to my skull then through to the membrane and they said the CSF flow was totally blocked and they needed to cut membrane to make space for my incredibly large beautiful brain they then covered with some sort of surgical mesh, they also took a bit of the spine at the top which will help with back and shoulder pain.

I had a bad couple of weeks after op, head pain, couldn't move and then the sickness came and it just didn't stop at all, over over and over, until the doctor gave me a strong steroid which seemed to make the difference, before that i had been on four useless anti-emetics.

So I'm nearly ready for home and really hoping next Wednesday, social services needs to sort my house out, really sick before hospital and i just couldn't look after it. Then me and my baby Jasper the ginger and white cat will finally go home.

Very excited!!!
