I would like to know what your headaches feel like and where you feel the pain and pressure...
I think you may find some different answers on this one, but I can speak from my perspective. Majority (not all inclusive) of my headaches start in the left base of my skull and shoot to the left front portion of my head. I also have base of the skull headaches that were in the middle of my head that just festered and pounded pretty bad. I get behind the eyeball headaches as well, but those are not as common as the others. I almost always feel pressure at the base of my skull, even after the ACM decompression surgery. I've learned to live with that.
Hope that helps, do you think you have ACM?
Most of my headaches prior to surgery were behind the eyes with lots of pressure. In fact I made many doctors appointments thinking I had a sinus infection because of those headaches and being told that there was no sign of one. Sometimes I would get the traditional back of the head aches and I would always have the sharp headaches when I sneezed or coughed and stuff.
I haven’t had any surgeries for my Chiari yet. My migraines start at either the base of neck and spread to my forehead, temples, and down my neck, or it starts in my forehead and eyes and spread to my temples and neck. The pain often feels like sharp knives or daggers and stabbing me in my face, head, and neck. The stabbing pain is often in the joints in my hands, shoulders, legs and feet, but the body pain can also be a deep aching similar to post intense workout or the flu. The pain makes me very nauseated most of the time.
I hope that helps!
