I have had the worst headache for the last two days. None of my meds are helping. I went to rub the back of my head and it is so tender I feel like throwing up. I called my NL and she was ordering an MRI. I don't know what to do. I am pretty good about pain tolerance but I feel like I am going out of my mind. My NL and NS are about an hour away so I really need to hear back from them before I go there to go to the ER. I am just not sure what to do.
Have any of you had pain and tenderness at the incision site,,,,that far posst op?
Yes but in the lower Occipital & C Spine Area. When you rub the back of your head are you getting any shock sensations and nausea? Could you maybe have a sinus infection or any other changes in fluid in your head? Does this happen regularly...every time you rub the back of your head? Is it worse when you sit, stand or lay down? This happens to me regularly, even if someone hugs me too high on my neck It brings me to my knees or I wash my hair in the shower and just forget and rub over it. Do you have any inflammation? Have you ever had issues with Occipital Neuralgia? I do have times I have to go to the ER for headaches that won't let up for any reason and many things bring them on and make them worse. I am so sorry Nicole. Please let me know how you are doing. Even if you go to the ER. I am worried about you. Mine has been like this since my surgeries.
I'm having this same thing 2 years out. Mine is pain in my upper spine rattleing when I walk and the site of the surgery on my head too. I hope you find some help! I know its frustrating!
