Dizziness

Hello all!

I'm Ava, I'm 14 years old and I live in New York. This past year I have been getting a very strange dizzy sort of feeling. Whenever I get it, I feel almost disconnected from everything. Its hard to pay attention, and it's just an all around very strange feeling. This feeling kept occurring, which brought me to get an MRI just to see if there was a cause to all the dizziness. It ends up I have Type 1 Chiari. Does anyone else get this weird feeling, and possibly have a better way to describe it?

Ava,

Dizziness and vertigo are both symptoms of Chiari. I suffer from this too. It happens most often when I stand up from a sitting or laying down position. I also feel disoriented when this happens. I hope it helps to know you’re not alone:)
