Discovered a knot on my left side after surgery

Hello Everyone!

Sorry I have not posted earlier...but I am doing o.k. 3 weeks and 4 days post-op :) The decompression surgery was April 3rd...it took 5 hours...I was in the hospital from Wednesday to Saturday (ICU 1 1/2 days)

I am so ready to be able to do things around the house...But I will see the dr. on Friday, May 3rd..It was to be May 31...but I have discovered a knot on the left side of my neck...not sure what it is...but Friday Dr. called in an antibotic...and its seems to be doing better..but still sore to the touch...

Thanks to the ones that directed me to the Arkansas Support group...they helped me before and after my surgery so much...they kept me calm and answered my questions...no matter how small....

Glad to hear you are recovering well! I'd say that knot is most likely a swollen lymph node. Some of my lymph nodes got swollen during my recovery but luckily there was no sign of infection! I have chronic mono so basically anytime my system is taxed I have a flare!
