I am two years post op and still struggling with headaches on a daily basis. I’m considering going to the Chiari Center for a second opinion on treatment. Has anyone done this or do most people just go for the purpose of having surgery?
It never hurts to get a second opinion from a specialist in Chiari! Sometimes they recommend surgery and others they don't. I'd say since you've had one surgery they'll probably just do a good work up to see if the surgery was a success in correcting the malformation and restoring your flow. Then they would go from their as to recommendations!
Definitely worth it! You may still have surgical issues going on…like cranio cervical instability. Not all Chiari surgeons check for CCI, but they should! Which Chiari center are you asking about? Is it the one in Long Island?
