Hi, I was wondering if there was anyone else that had chemical meningitis after Chiari surgery, and had it come back months later? I had surgery 11-12-12, and had a rough 6-8 weeks, then I did great for about 7-8 months. I'm not sure what's going on, but it kind of feels like the chemical men. is back. Working with the NS and Neurologist, but I'm curious if anyone else has run into this? Thank-you! And thank-you for being here, sometimes it's so reassuring just knowing there are others that understand. :)
One of my friends on this site has been going through that and other issues her surgery is almost 4 months out and she developed sterile meningitis.Her name is quitiholic on the site she can talk to you about her experience.

I had Chemical Meningitis but Thank God it never returned. I am so sorry.
Please let us know how you are doing. I sent this out to the Membership so maybe you will get some

Hi there! When I had my first surgery I had chemical meningitis- unfortunately it last from July to December and I was in and out of the hospital the entire time. They treated me with steroids and pain meds, but it was still really rough.
I had chemical meningitis about 3 weeks after surgery. Thank bajesus that it has not returned. Good luck!
I also had chemical meningitis about 2-3 weeks post op. Steroids and it went away and

Yes- I would be fine for a week or two and then it would flare up and I would end up back in the hospital again… It was a long recovery process, but I finally “kicked” it
