Does anyone else have trouble controlling their body temperature? I get overheated so easily. I sweat profusely and it makes me miserable, especially at work. It makes me nauseous and causes me to lose my appetite (whuch is dangerous because I have chronic low blood sugar). I get zero support at work. They just roll their eyes and say I am lazy and making excuses. I hate being sweaty all day. Any ideas?
Hi. I don’t know how old you are. But what you are describing almost sounds like hot flashes. One of my friends who is in her early 30’s had her hormone levels checked. Her FSH level was high, indicating she is in early menopause. Normally this doesn’t happen until late 40’s or early 50’s. Just a thought. Good luck!
My hormone levels have been tested many times and have always been in the normal range. I have been sensitive to heat since I was a child but it has gotten much worse in the last 6 months.
See the posting "meningitis immune recovery" from June 16 for thoughts on temperature control.
I'm 34 and I've always been bad about temperatures. I can't stand being too hot or too cold--I literally can't deal. When I get hot I do sweat a lot and get very uncomfortable. Too long too hot and I get dizzy and feel feverish. I don't have a good solution other than dressing in layers so I can warm up or cool off at will. Drinking plenty of water helps with the heat, and so does the little fan I have at my desk at work. I don't have a good solution for you,but I do have similar symptoms.
