Blood in Ear on Q-tip

So, I am coloring my hair and I usually do this by washing it first in the sink and then after the color I take a shower to rinse out the color.

Well, as you can guess, bending your head over in the sink to wash it can cause pressure in the head for us Chiarians.

And it did.

It was dumb of me to do this.

But, I did it.

I was cleaning the soap out of my ears with a q tip and the side of my head that hurts really bad now has some blood on the q-tip.

I found it to be coming from the ear drum area (deep in the ear) not from the outer part.

It is not a lot by any means. Just a smear.

Does this mean anything other than maybe I have an ear infection?

Is this from the pressure in my head due to the Chiari?

I know you guys can't tell cuz you aren't Dr's but I just wonder if anyone else has had this happen after bending their head over.

PS: it has stopped but my ear hurts a bit.

Yeah, I called my sister who is a Dr. and she said to "Keep the damn q-tips out of your ear"! Lol

I get seborrheic dermatitis in my ears and they build up with dead dry skin which is raw underneath.

The cleaner I keep them of soaps etc..the better the s. dermatitis fares.

I should switch to kleenex though and avoid hurting my eardrum.

I will get checked out though just to be sure it is not an ear infection.

If your doctor is like mine, they say, never clean your ears out with Qtips, but I do sometimes. Sorry, this happened to you, you may need to call your doctor and let them know.
