It was not easy to get enough courage together to get behind the wheel again, but my doctor said I can drive, and I am going back to work in 4 weeks, so I needed to do this, since I had a doctors app. For an EMG test today and the office is not far from my home, and it was driving straite mostly I decided to go by myself!!! It wasn't bad except for trying to look side to side when pulling out of a street to get onto a main road, and thank God for backup cameras in the car that helped a lot but you still need to look on both side, this was kind of hard.. I am hoping once I can start therapy that I can gain some of the range of motion back, just enough to be safe when driving...I know I was told I would lose motion, but it's not as bad as they made it sound( they meaning the first NS I saw... But it is hard to drive with the neck brace!!!
Jen how long was it after your surgery before you started to drive?
Hey Bud! Glad you are making improvements! I can’t rmember when I started driving exactly- somewhere between the 4 and 6 week mark. I would have driven sooner but my brain was so slow I knew I couldn’t handle it. I don’t think my range of motion is any different than before, honestly. How’s the neck pain? Posture? Headache?
Jenn
Thanks Rebecca, glad I can be some help in some way!! How are you feeling? How is it going with insurance?
Sorry everyone, but it seems I can not reply to a person personally, every time I hit reply I get all this computer mish mash and the message they sent me am I doing something wrong?
