3 Week Zipperversary Update

Well here I am at 3 weeks!

Doing well overall.

My sanity is hanging in there and my body is really wanting to move more than I am allowed!

I can't wait to be able to do things: the mind is willing but the body and the Dr are like "uhhh....no"

My house is a mess ble at least it is to me.

Bless my bf but he is not as good a housekeeper as I am!

I am very picky too. He is really trying hard and doing a good job considering he works all day.

Pain wise I am doing well.

Some days I need just Arnicare others one regular strength Tylenol does the trick. I just have a horrible time sleeping cuz of my TMJ which is all the more obvious since the other headaches are gone now (knock on wood).

And I am trying to march around the house a bit for exercise and move my limbs.

I have bad sore spots on my hips and constantly toss and turn at night from resting on my sides too much. I can't yet sleep on my back.

Taking deep breaths and moving are so important but I confess boredom and sitting can make you sleepy and ruin your sleep cycle.

I think I have reached the end of Law and Order Criminal Intent too! Lol

Bought some word search and scrambles to try to keep my mind occupied.

I still have vision problems and my new progressives ( I have had them 2 months now) are a pain and don't work as well as they did when I first got them. But, that probably doesn't have much to do with Chiari (?) It just prevents reading cuz my eyes hurt.

Well, that is my update! A rambling mix of everything!

But, I am overall doing well and very grateful for that!!

:-)

Good news Ophelia! Just keep it low key like you are!

Glad to hear you are doing so well Ophelia! I am almost one month post-op and can relate to what you posted!

Also wanted to sing the praises of Arnicare and magnesium.

I forgot to take the magnesium (I take Jigsaw SRT) and then just took one pill (half a serving) and it worked very well for sleep and muscle pain in the back of my head and my TMJ pain in my jaw and neck and ears.

Just a little tip :-)
