1 year ago today I went in for decompression surgery. My family was not with me, but I felt that my angels were and saw me through it all. I joined here soon after, and it has been a journey like no other.
I have come such a long way, learned so much and am so grateful to have the support! I continue to do well and know that I am still changing. Going back to work recently has been a huge step for me, and I consider it a milestone. Getting towards "normal".
It needs to be said that surgery can and does help, but we all have to make that decision for ourselves. For me it was crucial. Celebrating today and tomorrow...=)
Happy Zippersary! Great to hear you are moving forward o your new normal lol! I am scheduled for my decompression in 48 hours from now. I am nervous but you give me comfort. Soon I hope to celebrate with you!
Happy Zippersary, Emmaline! I'll pass my own one-year mark on July 2, with life basically back to normal for me. (Surely mild and sporadic headaches because my neck muscles still tense so easily are nothing big to complain about.)
Lyanna, we're all thinking of you. Work with your team as you heal, and together your NS, his team and your family will get you through this. Your NS is your expert, and you and your family are his "spies," telling him what is going on in your body as you approach surgery and as you recover. Together, you can do this.
Boy, it has been an entire year, already...where does the time go????
Happy Zipperversary!! I hope that you are proud of yourself..You have come a long way , baby!!!! You are truly an inspiration to me...always positive, yet realistic ...always ready to lend a listening ear....you give of yourself, freely ..even during your early recovery...Emmaline...you are special...NEVER FORGET THIS!!!
