You all can tell me I told you so

Since returning back to work my pains has increased and I'm exhausted. I am having my NS write a letter to my school district telling them I need more time for recovery. I still feel better then I did prior to surgery, but I don't want to jeopardize my recovery in any way, shape or form, so I will be taking more time to heal. I really do appreciate all the concern you have had for me, but I am pretty stubborn and have to learn things myself. Will I take 4 months, no, but at least 2-3 more weeks. I am almost 4 weeks post op and so I hope to feel even better after the 2 weeks.

Kuddos for listening to your body!!!

As my parents used to tell me all the time, and they have been proven right time and time again. Sometimes only way to learn is learning the hard way. I was told I should take the summer off to get everything going and straight....what did i do? Signed up for 7 credits...2 math classes...my worst subject!!! A friend said i was cruising for a bruising

I need you to understand that you health is all you really have in this world. You have to take this seriously. You had a major surgical procedure and your body needs to rest. Your neck and brain need to rest. You have to respect and understand that your body needs to HEAL. 6 weeks is not even long enough. Perhaps 4 months is far more than you require but 6 weeks is really too soon to be returning to work. Definitely not full time. Maybe going back part-time at 6 weeks will give you an idea of what your body can handle. Take care of your self before you can take care of anything else.

I’m glad you’re listening to your body and taking more time to heal…I think that’s definitely a good idea. I hope your recovery continues to go as well as it has thus far:)

Michelle, So glad you're taking care and resting more. I was amazed you went back to work. Just be kind to yourself. I use homeopathic arnica for recovery from any type of soreness from overuse and it works wonders. It would also help heal your wound. Waleda also has an arnica oil that you rub into sore muscles. It's heavenly.
