Next Monday is my surgery. All I can think about today is where I will be this time next Monday. I will see my NS on Thursday and ask my remaining questions and get my preOp blood work done. The only thing I’m concern about is the long recovery process. I am a gym rat and I don’t know how I’m going to make it without my daily exercise. This will be torture for me. Hopefully, I can at least get back to swimming in a month. Is this wishful thinking?
Good luck with the surgery,I’ve recently had the surgery and so far am pretty pleased. It’s not a cure all but worth the risk.I’ll pray for you next mon.
I was allowed to shower but not bath for 6 weeks so swimming might be out. I was allowed to walk as much as I felt able. I know it's not what you are used to but your body really needs rest to heal and you'll be back at the gym soon enough! I wasn't able to work out at all for almost 2 years before my surgery and now 5 months later I'm running, hiking, doing some weight lifting, and am in better shape than when I went to the gym daily!
Well, I pray that it change for the better. Thanks for your post.
Hi Anglyn, Wow, 2 years is a long time. If I can walk that’s better than nothing. To know that you are running, hiking, etc is very encouraging, I have something to hold on to …
Sending lots of prayers for Monday. Can’t wait to hear how it goes!
