In America, this Thursday is Thanksgiving. We spend the day thinking about what we are grateful for and also eating a lot of turkey and pie. :)
I thought it would be fun to start a discussion on what we're all thankful for. I'll get it going:
I'm thankful that my wonderful girlfriend, Vanessa, accepted my marriage proposal last weekend. We're all smiles here. :)
I'm also thankful that this community exists and helps so many people. We started Ben's Friends (www.bensfriends.org) 6 years ago and now over 80,000 patients and loved ones visit all 35 sites every month. It's truly a little Internet miracle.
I'm grateful for the community, the friendships and especially thankful that the volunteer moderators donate so much of their time to help others. Thank You Mods!

Congratulations, Scott! I’m grateful that u started this group, now I’m not feeling so alone in battling chiari. I’m grateful for family, friends, God getting me through this crazy year. I’m thankful for life & even though chiari gave me good fight, I’m still graduating with my B.S. degree in May(thanks to awesome professors who stood by me& encouraged me to keep fighting). I’m sooo grateful to God for him helping me to endure the pain & helping me to keep focus. I use to be a drug addict but I’m 4 years clean thanks to God keeping me focused. Even though this year had not been the best, I’m grateful to God that it has just been. I’m more blessed than I really could ever imagine. hopefully, all of us can see our blessings clearly at least today. God bless!
Congratulations to all of you! Im thankful for this group so I can get an idea of what is “normal” and that life goes on. Im thankful for so many friends and family who have helped me in too many ways to recount but we all understand. Im thankful for God and His Grace seeing me through every day. And, im grateful He made me a fighter and that every hard thing I’ve gone through, strengthened me for this, even though I came through each one kicking and screaming! Im thankful for the internet that makes the world a smaller place, so we can stay connected and learn, even when we are stuck at home. Life is good but we have to choose to see it that way!

I am so grateful for all of my blessings!! This year, the difference is I am home and recovering (finally) from decompression surgery. After many setbacks, I can actually cook part of the feast!! Glory be to GOD!!
I am grateful that even with CM I am able to get about and live a productive life. I am a person who believes in God and I am thankful to God for this victory of being able to move about....And I am grateful for this online location to read about others who are victors as well. I sometimes think that because of our struggles we are more than conquerors!!!! So this girl is thankful!!!!!!
God is first to me and im second family then I figure everything will fall into place from their. Presently, I’m thank for my 18th surgery will be in the books by Monday afternoon.
