Sharing from ASAP website. It is a PDF to assist writing or talking to school officials when you have a genetic disorder. I have read it and find some value in it.
Thanks for sharing! I have looked it over also and it seems to contain some very useful information. As a mother of a two year old and a three year old, this may be very useful to me someday.
This is so helpful! As a high school principal, and someone experiencing a heavy 'dose' of Chiari, this idea (and reading posts from student members here) wakes me up to what some of our students and their parents must be going through, especially those with a condition like ours, that is not well-known or understood. There are 2700 students in my school, but now I know there are two with Chiari, one who has had surgery and another who hasn't. I'm going to share this document with both of them, and the other parents whose children have health concerns. It's a great start for us. Thank you for sharing it!
