I got the results from my spine mri today and i have no syrinx. i just found out in July that i have chiari with symptoms starting after my car accident in May. Neurosurgeon wants me to go physical therapy...i am wondering if I am wasting my time and should get a second opinion. Also should i request a cine mri?
Also neurosurgeon has requested an MRA which i am not entirely sure why?
My thoughts, cheree, would be to try the physical therapy first. If this is what your N/S suggests there must be a reason he wants you to try non-invasive treament before rushing towards major surgical intervention and associated risks and the long, long recovery period. I remember you had some good PT advice in your previous discussion ... maybe worth re-reading before looking for a suitably experienced physical therapist.
