Prednisone Induced Cataracts! Please Read!

Just an FYI:

If you take any kind of steriod, like Prednisone, get your eyes checked. I have Prednisone induced cataracts due to being on the drug 3 times this year for migraines. I never knew this was a side effect. My doctor did say he could give me drops if I take Prednisone again but not thinking I'll be doing that.

Cataracts are a common side effect of any steroids, whether taking orally, I.M. or even in eyedrops. Usually you do have to be on them for a while, though. Steroids are a great drug and used to treat many conditions, but the side effects are many.
