Post Decompression

Hi All , Well so much for my post op checks they were going to do,had one at 9 weeks, they said next one would be 6 months, that never happened then finally got an appointment letter in the mail which was at 14 months post decompression surgery (Its a 5 hr direct drive,so have to stay in a motel overnight)All the arrangements were made then I received a cancellation of appointment notice. No explanation ,just your referring clinician will be notified.Funny that as his office is just around the corner from them as it was the Neuro himself.

I went to my local Dr for my monthly authority medication visit and to get the results of the blood tests he did the month before.Everything was ok apart from my Vit D levels which were almost non existant.BIG SURPRISE,he hadnt asked for the test for EDS even though I did ask because of all the joint pain I'm having. He keeps insisting its just the cold weathereven thoughI have my heater set at 19°c .Still sleeping in my recliner chair, not brave enough to lay down in bed, swallowing has gone backwards over the last few months and food is getting stuck on the way down.Definitely do not want another bout of aspirational pneumonia.Does anyone have any suggestions on coping with the tinnitus,it is driving me crazy as it seems to have gotten louder.Would appreciate any tips.

Vicki, I think you need a swallow study, and I can’t believe they have left you with no Vitamin D, not to mention, like Beeba said, abandoned. That’s got feel pretty crappy. With all of this I think it’s better you find a new NS anyway. No tips about the tinnitus - sorry. That’s one symptom I don’t have. I would load up on OTC vitamin D3 until you get a plan with a doctor.
