Possible Chiari's Malformation Diagnoses

I'd like to start with I am 21 and my mother has been diagnosed with Chiari's Malformation. I went to the doctor today and they looked at old MRI results and said that I may have it as well. I don't really understand what it is (or it is not sinking in).

My symptoms on and off are:

Confusion

Difficulty Speaking

Headaches (almost constant)

Trouble remembering people's names (even if I have known them for a long time)

I am very scared. Please explain what this is to me. Are these possibly Chiari's symptoms?

Nynda, I’m sorry you are looking at a Chiari diagnosis, but please know you are not alone. Abby loaded some great information. Continue to read and research and it will begin to make sense as you hit on the same words and explanations.
