Anyone have any suggestions to help with the pain? Nothing is helping.
What kinda pain are you experiencing?
Monique
Katie,
I have been reading your posts…I am so sorry! It sounds like you have been going through post op hell! I wish I had an answer for you. I have the same problem. I have tried everything out there. My NL is looking at putting me on Depakote next. No pain meds help me either. I was on Methadone for pain for 10 years. It certainly did work, but I wouldn’t suggest anyone try it. It’s highly addictive can cause a lot of damage and took me a year to ween off of it. Lots of negative studies coming out regarding methadone now. If I knew then what I know now I’m not sure I would ever had agreed to go on it. It was hell to get off and now my pain is ridiculous. My NL is trying some meds that I tried when I was on methadone to see if my body reacts differently to them now that I’m off. So far not a lot of luck. Have you tried icing or heat? Sometimes a heating pad on my forehead or face helps me a little. I wish I could take your pain away! I’ll say an extra prayer for you tonight! Keep me posted!
:o) Monique
I don't have any suggestions, but I am so very sorry you're still going through this hell. I am truly hoping you can find something, anything to help you get some relief.

Katie,
Have they put you on a burst of Prednisone before? Sometimes that will help. The other thing that can help (none of this long term, unfortunately) is caffeine. I've had Migraines and severe headaches that I had to be admitted for and they put me on high dose of caffeine (pills) to get rid of/calm down the head pain.
Thats all I can think of that might help if you haven't already tried them!
Hang in there!
These are suppose to be good Dilaudid and Oxymorphone. Not sure if any of these you have a allergy to them. Praying for you. Hope your pain goes away soon.

Oh, that's what gets me. Some docs hand out pills like nothing and then when people like us are in REAL pain, we can't get help because they are afraid we might abuse them. It is very frustrating. Most of the time I am afraid to even ask. I hope that you can find some relief soon. I am just starting the battle with pain management. Thankfully, I am not allergic to many meds. Good luck!!!

Called ns office because the tab 10s aren't working. Still in a ton of pain. But get this crap.
The PA told me I had to bring in the tabs to exchange them for a script for something else.
Excuse me but I do believe that if I am having to pay for a
Script out of pocket that no one has the right to take meds away from me even though I have tried them and paid for them.
Sob!!! They aren't getting them in any way shape or form.
It will get better! I have gone through so many emotions with this. Did you read the post about the five emotions of an illness. It is so true. I go through them on a weekly basis. Glad to say right now my anger turned into acceptance. Although, I will never really accept this...I am trying to make the best of it. I am so sorry for you pain and frustration right now. I hope you can find some relief soon. These docs don't understand and that just adds to all of the pain. I hope the pain subsides soon!!! Good luck!
My PCP said to me, "Either you beat this or it will beat you!"
Katie....
What the heck can I say??? I am so sad for you....Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers.
Katie......
That is good your mom took Duncan for a while...what about soup to eat??? saltines??? Are you drinking enough ????
We are here for you.
I'm so sorry Katie! Very happy your mom took Duncan so you can attempt getting some peace. Even if the meds aren't necessarily taking away the pain, do they help take the edge off so you can eat better? With your allergies, I know it's hard to find something easy and appetizing. please take care of yourself the best you can!
HUGS!

Katie, I am so sorry to hear you are in such pain, I can only tell you what I am on.I am also allergic to supra. I am on methacarhonal, tizanadine, trazadone, verapamil, Zoloft, butabitol, absorbent, omeprozole, albuterol, spariva, qvar, cleanse and singular. Several are muscle relaxers ( the first 3) mixed with the verapmil for migraines and high bloodpressure and the sleeping pills which have muscle relaxers in them and the gabapentin which is for fibromyalgia (global pain) is okay…and headaches, it was just increased to 1800mgs a day …I will let you know if it helps. I am not sure if any of this info will help hut maybe you can look into some it bc I have about 98% of the symptoms.
