I am looking to see if anyone has seen a specialist in New Mexico (or the surrounding area).
I do have a local neurosurgeon who has performed this surgery before but prefers not to go within the dura. I don't know if this is something I need or not and want to make sure I am getting the correct care I need in order to function and care for my family.
I do not have insurance and there is no physician in at least a 3 hour drive span, that specializes in this surgery. If I have the surgeon above do this surgery then I do have local resources that will cover it but I want to make sure it is done right. I do not want to keep having the surgery done over and over as I have read some on line.
If I decide to have this surgery done anywhere else has anyone located financial help to have this surgery done. I care for my disabled husband and 11 year old son who is becoming symptomatic for the same disorder my husband has.
Any additional information would be greatly appreciated.
