Nerve block..?

I am having a Nerve block on monday..
They said it might work, but they said my case was one they never heard of before.
My Occipital Neuralgia meds are not working at all for my neck pain.. and my sneezing, cough and laughing still gives me pain..
I want this nerve block to work cause if it does then I won't need surgery. (Cause we've done everything else to help and this our last step.)

Any of you have experience with Nerve blocks? I would really like to know! (:

Hi Sydney,

I have had both Major and Right Minor Occipital Nerves Blocked post op. It honestly felt like a bee sting. (for once they were right) Please tell your Mom that about 1-2 hours after the injections I felt intoxicated for at least 24 hours and couldn't sleep at all that night. Just be prepared. They really do help. Please let us know how everything goes.
