I'm thinking of you and praying that today is a better one for you and not so overwhelming.
I have a friend that has encouraged me to just focus on one or two tasks at a time. When those are done move on to the next. Keeping lists and journaling helps me alot also. I don't have small kids at home anymore, just me and the husband, but I think that overwhelmed feeling comes with the Chiari. Please know that we are here for you and I hope that venting helped and things get better for you. You will be constantly in my thoughts and prayers Terri,
Thanks, everyone for the wise words. I have read each response and taken them to heart...one day at a time and break it down into small tasks. Being in constant pain really is exhausting and then not sleeping doesn't help and it really wears me down. It is comforting to know that there are so many people out there sending good thoughts and prayers my way. I was able to pull it together and made 3 appointments; a physical for my son, an eye appointment to get the papilledema checked and one with the orthopedic doc for my shoulder. We made it to 2 ice cream socials and I met with the sober high school principal. I asked grandma to help with the school supplies so she bought those. I have gone 3 days now and haven't missed any of the kid's medications! I feel strong when I can get things accomplished and if the pain is bad, there is always tomorrow, right? I just want to say...I have the BEST husband in the world and am so lucky to be married to him. I couldn't ask for a better guy and I just wanted to let you all know!
I am so glad to hear that you are feeling better. I know it's not "Better...Better" but you sound good. What a great job you've done asking for help and ticking things off your list. That's the way to do it. Be kind to yourself and give yourself a lot of credit. I do have a little quibble though..... I have the best husband in the world! LOL Just kidding It's such a gift to have a great husband and I am so glad you have one too. Plus what a great example we set for our kids. Those are the things that matter not the dust bunnies. : )
Glad to hear from you again, so good to hear you're feeling a little better. You have been in my prayers. Just keep keeping on, that's my moto, I am planning to have surgery soon I was wondering if you have had chiari surgery My chiari seems on the m.r.i. to be borderline but the Dr. says that lots of times when the symtoms are debilitating as mine it may be worsethan it appears. I feel scared and excited at the same time, but my journey has been a long one 27yrs. Hope you have a easier coming week take it one moment at a time.
