Looking for a good Chiari specialist in MS. Know one?

Need Suggestions on True Chiari Specialists that treat Chiari 0. I have 3-5 mm tonsillar herniation with diminished CSF flow in the Sylvian Aqueduct, into and out of ventricle IV, and in the foramen magum. Preferably one who will do a consult before appoint. I live in MS and can’t find help. I have a list of symptoms a mile long and am at the end of my rope with drs. Thanks for any help.

Dr. Michael J. Rosner in Hendersonville, NC is recognized by the Chiari community as an expert/specialist NS. He has devoted his practice to assisting Chiarians. He recognizes Chiari zero and also is adamant that herniation size does not correlate with symptoms. For instance, someone’s cerebellar tonsillar ectopia could be 16mm and have very few symptoms while someone with 3mm, or even no herniation, could be suffering with many, many symptoms, affecting nearly every body symptom, and wreaking havoc on their quality of life.

He is extremely thorough and comprehensive. My first exam lasted nearly 3 hours. You don’t have to fight to get him to believe your symptoms, he already knows they are valid and will acknowledge and explain why you are having a certain symptom. He will address every concern you bring up to him and will explain as in depth and technical as you desire.

I feel that choosing a NS is a very personal choice and should be decided upon after using your logic and reasoning skills, definitely not a decision to be made due to emotions. You must deliberate on it and make the best choice for yourself. I am simply offering my experience and what you would, if you decide to see him.

If you would like to contact his office, the number is, 828-■■■■■■■■. If you get voicemail, leave a message and you will get a call back.

I wish you the best of luck.
