I was born and raised in Spokane :slight_smile: spent the first 21 years of my life there, moved to hell, err I mean Houston for two, back to Spokane when we had our oldest in 2001 and now to the west side of the mountains in 2003.

And I am jealous of your photography skills, I luck into awesome shots but not anything consistently. And I totally understand your pain, too me 4 times to get min submitted and I have lost count of the number of replies I plain gave up on,lol.

DOB AND SIGN: Jan 20th - some documents say Capricorn and other Aquarius - born on the cusp - but I'm not really into signs, however it would explain why I'm confused sometimes.

WHERE YOU LIVE: Born in Spokane Washington, lived in Denver for 31 years and now live in Joshua Tree California. I don't miss shoveling snow, but now and then I miss a lawn. We have sand lawns. It took a little to get use to and learning to garden in the high desert is also interesting.

FAMILY: Remarried - but it's been a bit of a struggle. My husband has early onset macular degeneration and I was suppose to be the driver, etc. However, after a year into our marriage I was diax with cancer, had 2 surgeries, radiation treatment and now Chiari. I also have 2 beautiful grown children.

PETS: 3 dogs at present - Lab - Rocky, Long-haired chihuahua - Goliath, another chi - Samone who is due next week, 3 cats - Hunter, Simba, and Mimi and 3 chickens. We have sort of an animal kingdom here.

CAREER: I am a Program Assistant for Students with Disabilities at CMC. I also am getting my paintings out and am pushing my side career as an artist.

HOBBIES & INTERESTS: I love exploring different types of artist mediums (acrylic, watercolor, 3-D, ink, etc.). I paint, draw, hike, garden, sew and enjoy learning about the desert.

TALENTS: Painting and photography. I have some of my work on flickr.com under 'desertoasis'

YOUR FAVORITE AND LEAST FAVORITE CHORES: I like a very clean bathroom and I don't really care for laundry. It seems to pile up so quickly.

SOMETHING UNKNOWN ABOUT YOU: If I had the finances - I would travel and become a professional photographer. There is so much to see in this world. I don't have any tattoos because of thyroid cancer. Tattoos use iodine in the process and I must stay away from it. I would own land and more animals - at least a horse or two, a donkey, a goat, who knows what else. I'm also more forgetful and clumsy with this Chiari. This is the 2nd time I've tried to post because I hit the wrong button before. I hope it works.

WHERE YOU LIVE: Living in Tualatin, OR but am a Portland native and have lived in Alaska, Wyoming, and California

FAMILY: My amazing hubby Matt and I have been married for almost 2 years, together for almost 3. And I have three incredible little boys from my first marriage: William, 12; Paul, 10;, and Eli, 7.

PETS: Will has a Pacific Tree Frog named Cordelia that he rescued.

CAREER: I'm almost finished with school to be a hairdresser and esthetician, though I honestly will seek work doing esthetics.

HOBBIES & INTERESTS: I play a lot of video games, I love my MacBook and definitely would describe myself as an Apple fangirl, I love seeing live music, and go to as many concerts as the budget allows.

TALENTS: I speak German, a little. And I can do some amazing things with hair and makeup.

YOUR FAVORITE AND LEAST FAVORITE CHORES: OMG I hate to cook. I'm not bad at it, but cooking almost always zaps my appetite, and makes me want to stay away from food. I love doing laundry and ironing.

SOMETHING UNKNOWN ABOUT YOU: For you guys here, I'd say it's that I seem to be a depository of random knowledge and that I am absolutely a nerd. I can also mirror write, which, according to wikipedia, makes me some kind of freak of nature. :)

FAMILY: I have been married for 19yrs. I have 2 kids Girl-17 and a Boy-13.

PETS: I have 1 cornsnake - Wilma, 1 pacman frog, 2 crested geckos, pinky & the brain and 1 bearded dragon- toothless.

CAREER: I am a licensed insurance agent but have been unemployeed since November of last year- I am looking but I'm only getting offers of $8-$10 per hour- stupid state!

HOBBIES & INTERESTS: I can do any craft or art project- I knit, crochet, sew, cross stitch, scrapbook, digital scrapbook, paint- draw, make jewelry- woodwork- You name it I can do it!

I am 44yo and live in Henderson,Nv (suburb of Las Vegas). I was born in California. I am married to my best friend John, we have 2 children step-daughter Jennifer 25yo and son Nick 21yo. I also have 2 furrbabies that I love: Dante 2yo German Shepherd and Lexie 13yo shitzu. I am a Dispatcher. My hobbies would be: reading,crocheting,doll collecting and scrapbooking. WHERE YOU LIVE: Born and Raised in Northridge, California ( and surreounding area) Yep I'm an origional "Valley Girl"... pretty much live here all my life except a brief stint in Amarillo,Tx when I was married.

FAMILY: I'm a single mom of 3 Great kids Faith ( 10), Alexia (8) & Gabriel (4), Gabe is High Functioning Autistic, but making amazing strides. I'm also the momma of 3 babies in heaven a daughter Angel and 2 sons devan & Jeremiah...Jeremiah was Gabriel's identical twin.

PETS: My brothers Pit Bull Tootsie " adopted" us and even when he moved out she refused to leave my son so now she's his unoficial Service dog.

CAREER: Stay at Home Mom for my son, Thought I have several certificates including Medical Billy/ Medical office Management & Graphic Design. I still do a little Graphic Desig on the side at home when I can manage it.

TALENTS: People Call me Sarapedia (Sara the encyclopedia) because I can find or know just about anything medical related , as well as a few orther topics related to Special education.

YOUR FAVORITE AND LEAST FAVORITE CHORES: Chores suck...My * favorite* is Laundry even though we always have TONS...It's a lazy man's chore and doesn't have to be completed all at once.

WHERE YOU LIVE: Central New Jersey my entire life.

FAMILY: Married 32 years in May and have 3 children. A 28 year old girl and 2 boys , 24 and 16. Can't wait for grandchildren who will be spoiled by their Mother's parents.

PETS: One dog and 2 cats. Zoey, the dog is a cairn terrier, think Toto from the Wizard of Oz. She looks exactly like Toto. The cats are Oreo and Striper. When my youngest was 4 he named them.

YOUR FAVORITE AND LEAST FAVORITE CHORES: I HATE washing and folding clothes, putting them away. I avoid them at all costs. I use to love to mow the lawn but find very little time to do it anymore, I have to hire it out.

SOMETHING UNKNOWN ABOUT YOU: I love to sit down close my eyes and listen, smell, feel, taste everything around me. I am afraid with all the medical problems this Chiari has caused someday I may not be able to do that.

FAMILY: I'm still going to school to get a degree and working/trying to save up money to pay all of my loans off. So for now I'm at home with my mom, stepdad, and little sister that will be in high school next year. My dad and step mom live about 10 minutes away. I have a stepbrother in the Air Force, an older stepsister that is about to graduate college, and my younger stepsister has a beautiful 3 month old baby that I absolutely adore. I also have 7 grandparents, 4 aunts, and a hefty amount of cousins all living within 10 miles from me.

SOMETHING UNKNOWN ABOUT YOU: I've been having really bad anxiety for the past six months. I take after my Grandfather, and I hope to never let it debilitate me like it does him. It's gotten better, but I have a hard time dealing with emotions or big changes in my life. I have a hard time expressing myself/opening up, so when things are bothering me I just bottle it up inside and it wreaks havoc on me.

I've seen Zumba classes on campus and it looks so much fun! I wanted to try it but the personal trainers told me no :( Royally sucks. I found out about the chiari in March and it's moved so quickly into everything. Your not alone in feeling alone. I have been talking to a Gold Star mom for months and one day she was going through her medical stuff and guess whats on one of her MRI reports LOL she was floored and started asking alot of questions. We are not crazy; we are just not seen all the time because it's not visible from outside :)
