I just read the PAIN and recovery section... 2 questions

Well, now I'm petrified! Two questions:

1. Has anyone done any hypnotherapy BEFORE the surgery to deal with the pain (if so, did it help?)

2. Is there anyone who did NOT suffer in a tremendous way or is this the NORM???

God, please help my baby and all of you.

Most do very well. People who relate experiences on internet support sites are more often than noy outliers. The experiences are real but not typical.

The most important thing you can do as a caretaker is make sure that pain is never allowed to get ahead of the medications. Thed staff may be very good at doing this or in some symptoms they will only give meds when asked. If wait until you NEED it, its hard to catch up. So long as the pain is well managed intitially, it should be just fine.

Thank you so much, TJ1. I will definitely heed your advice!
